What are annual profections?
Annual profections are a traditional timing method where each year of your life activates one house of your chart in turn. Age 0 starts on the 1st house, age 1 on the 2nd, and so on, cycling back to the 1st house every twelve years. The activated house and its ruling planet — the time-lord — show what your year emphasizes.
What is a time-lord?
The time-lord is the planet that rules the sign on your profected house for the year. It becomes especially important: wherever that planet sits in your chart, and any transits it makes, take on extra significance for the twelve months of that profection.
How is my profected house calculated?
We take your age in whole years and count that many houses from your 1st house, using whole-sign houses from your Ascendant. The sign that lands on the profected house, and that sign’s traditional ruler, give you the year’s focus and time-lord. Because it uses your Ascendant, an exact birth time gives the most accurate result.
