Your dominant house is simply the house that contains the most planets in your birth chart. When three or more planets gather in a single house (or sign), astrologers call it a stellium — a concentrated cluster that gives that area of life enormous weight and focus, often shaping your personality and path more than any one sign.
How do you work out which house is busiest?
We calculate a full chart from your birth date, time, and place, find the house each of your planets falls into, and count them up. The house with the most planets is your dominant house, and we show you exactly which planets are in it and the life themes it governs.
Why does this need an exact birth time?
The houses are anchored to your Ascendant, which shifts roughly every two hours. Without an accurate birth time, planets can land in the wrong houses entirely, so the busiest-house result would not be reliable. An exact time from your birth certificate gives the most accurate reading.
