Astrocartography Map
Astrocartography maps your birth chart onto the world. As the Earth turns, each planet is rising, setting, overhead or below the horizon over different places, and those lines mark where each planet’s themes are strongest for you. Astrologer draws them on an interactive world map from your own chart’s calculations.

Astrologer renders planetary lines (Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven and IC for every body) on an interactive world map in both flat and globe projections. Lines are drawn from the chart’s own calculations rather than approximated, and you can toggle bodies on and off to read a crowded region. Paran lines and local space lines are available alongside the standard four angle lines.
What each line means
The same planet behaves differently depending on which angle its line represents. On the rising (AC) line it shapes how you show up and your vitality there. On the culminating (MC) line it shapes career, reputation and public life. On the setting (DC) line it shapes relationships and partnerships. On the anti-culminating (IC) line it shapes home, roots and private life.
Relocation
Any chart can be relocated to any city, which recasts the angles for that longitude and latitude while leaving the planetary positions untouched. Relocation moves only the angles and houses, never the planets, and a relocated chart that shows shifted planetary degrees has been calculated wrongly.
Location readings and goals
Selecting a place produces a live preview wheel for that location, and Astrologer can generate a reading for a specific place grounded in the lines that actually cross it and how close they run. The reading names the lines it draws on, so it can be checked against the map. You can also set a goal first, such as where to work or where to rest, and see the lines and places relevant to it.
What is free and what is paid
Relocated charts and location readings come with the Essentials plan and above, starting at $14 a month, and location readings use AI reading credits. New members can try the paid plans with a 14-day free trial.
Frequently asked questions
What is astrocartography?
Astrocartography is a branch of astrology that maps your birth chart onto the world, drawing lines that show where each planet’s influence is strongest for relocation, travel and life decisions.
Does relocating a chart change the planets?
No. Relocation changes only the angles and house cusps. Planetary positions are fixed by the moment of birth and do not move when a chart is relocated.
Can Astrologer show paran and local space lines?
Yes. Astrologer plots paran lines and local space lines alongside the standard Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven and IC planetary lines.
How close do I need to be to a line for it to matter?
Influence is strongest right on a line and fades with distance, but it is generally considered meaningful within a few hundred miles.
