Astrologer lays transits out on a timeline with exact contact dates rather than presenting an undated list of current aspects. Because outer planets station and retrograde, a single transit commonly makes three passes over the same natal degree across a year or more; Astrologer shows each pass separately with its own date, so you can tell a client which window is the first contact and which is the final one.

Scrubbing any date

The date stepper moves the sky forward or backward at any granularity, with hold-to-sweep for scanning quickly across months. The natal wheel keeps its position while a transit ring moves around it, so you watch contacts form and separate rather than recalculating a static chart for each date you want to check.

How timing statements are written

When Astrologer generates a reading about timing, it draws only on moving factors — transits, progressions, profections, returns. A static natal placement cannot date anything, and readings that imply otherwise are the most common way astrology software produces confident nonsense. That constraint is enforced in the reading pipeline rather than left to the model.
